United Kingdom Council for Access and Equality (UKCAE)
Main Content
CityAxis had become increasingly aware during its work on business environment solutions and work appraisals, of the problems faced by businesses and the end-user in trying to design and create accessible and inclusive environments ~ whether the built environment or the wider workplace. Several years of in-depth research, incorporating the principles of inclusive and universal design, led to the formation of the United Kingdom Council for Access and Equality.
The UKCAE Pathway is a business tool, an online 3-step process that provides awareness, understanding, knowledge and the necessary skills to enable any organisation to understand and fulfil its obligations under equality legislation.
Other Founder Members include Starbucks, the Association for British Insurers, Postcomm, Mace, the Forum of Private Business and Martineau.
Kim Ridge and Eoin O'Callaghan were invited to become Fellows of the Royal Society for Arts in recognition of their social entrepreneurship in funding and forming UKCAE.
